Ron Moore has been a member of CVCO since 1997, when he was appointed concertmaster.  He holds music degrees from Oberlin College, the University of Iowa, and the University of Tennessee.  Besides the CVCO, he is concertmaster of the Cheshire Symphony, plays either violin or viola in Maestro Hisey’s American Chamber Orchestra, with whom he has toured Europe, and is concertmaster of the Troupers Light Opera.

Specializing in the Suzuki Method, he studied with William Starr, and Shin’ichi Suzuki, and has taught violin for the Hartford Conservatory for over 20 years.  Active in chamber music, his hobbies include hiking, photography, and arranging music.
